College Topics miscellany [manuscript], 1930-1945.

The collection contains a platform for 1930/1931 in which the college paper "takes definite stand on vital problems contronting Virginia undergraduates" including enrollment reduction, codification of various rules, a new registration system, Honor System reform, facilities improvement, establishment of a band and the dropping of Virginia Polytechnic Institute from the football schedule. There is also a program and dinner menu [1940] for the 50th anniversary celebration, signed by guest of honor A. C. Carson, the first business editor, together with 5 other editors. The collection also contains two clippings concerning the newspapers, 1933 and 1945. The latter noted a blank column headed by a note "Due to the inefficiency of the business staff, we are unable to run the theater ads."
